Core Subjects

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

The course is for anyone working with other people in a therapeutic/educational capacity.  It is particularly suitable for kinesiologists and is recognised by the Kinesiology Federation as fulfilling the criteria for the core subject ‘Interpersonal Skills/Counselling’.   It is worth the equivalent of 2 credits (contact time 30 hours, home study and practice 30 hours).

ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

The course is specifically designed for kinesiologists.   It is recognised by the Kinesiology Federation as fulfilling the criteria for the core subject ‘Anatomy and Physiology’ and is worth the equivalent of 3 credits (contact time 45 hours, home study 45 hours).

NUTRITION

The course is specifically designed for kinesiologists.   It is recognised by the Kinesiology Federation as fulfilling the criteria for the core subject ‘Nutrition’ and is worth the equivalent of 1.5 credits (contact time 23 hours, home study 23 hours).

PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

This course is designed for therapists in general, and particularly kinesiologists, though it is also suitable for anyone setting up in business. It covers 30 hours (3 taught days and a minimum of 8 hours home study) and is recognised by the Kinesiology Federation as fulfilling the core requirements for Practice Management  (providing 1 credit). 

As well as covering practical issues, marketing and legal requirements, the course provides an opportunity for participants to identify and work with their own skills and strengths as well as their concerns and areas of difficulty.
